Hey all,
I used to be an avid UB Funkeys player way back in 2009 and was disappointed to see Mattel let it go. Thankfully all of the game's files are decompiled therefore can easily be ported over to an improved engine. I am contemplating investing a fair amount of time as a side project to get some sort of rewritten version with incorporated LAN or multiplayer. I'm looking for people to help me who are very familiar with the game's layout and / or Python. Thanks!

That would be absolutely astounding if you could do that, It would be nice to walk the streets of Funkeystown and head into the chat rooms (Even though I have only one chat Funkey) and actually talk to people, play games with another. The only problem is the figures, I consider myself a tinkerer by nature so maybe I could screw around with Skylanders or something to get a feel for modern NFC tech.

That would be absolutely astounding if you could do that, It would be nice to walk the streets of Funkeystown and head into the chat rooms (Even though I have only one chat Funkey) and actually talk to people, play games with another. In the situation development reached a later stage it's highly unlikely any form of NFC would be used as I'm completely unfamiliar with the technology although I agree it's useful to get a feel for it. |

At the moment the primary problem(s) being that all the current flash mini games cannot be recovered due to missing components alongside some other minor problems. I'm also needing more people interested and involved in the project to help me and push me to continue pursuing the project. |
